Matt Hopwood is a former band director of 8 years who is still enchanted by music and the magic of the ocarina! He bought an ocarina for his wife's birthday in September 2021. An Amazon Zelda ocarina...oof. Despite this, he enjoyed stealing it from her and playing for hours. He soon purchased a well-tuned ocarina and has been playing ever since! Matt is active on TikTok (@ocarina.hype), a member of Silver Wind Ocarina, a student of Cris Gale, and was a featured performer at OcarinaFest 2022. 

Ocarina Owl

Nicolás Miranda posts as Ocarina Owl online. Originally from Tlalnepantla de Báz, MX; He is an Ocarina educator, composer, and multi-instrumentalist. His interest is in Pre-Hispanic indigenous cultures of Mexico, and the role they played in creating the modern version of the Ocarina. The Mansfield Philharmonic premiered his original Orchestral work titled Omeyocan Suite for Orchestra and Ocarina Quintet. On Oct. 28th, the Mesquite Symphony Orchestra will premiere the sequel titled Tliltimiztli.

Jordan Moore is a euphoniumist, ocarinist, hornist, arranger, educator, and online content creator who graduated from the Eastman School of Music in 2019 with a degree in euphonium performance and music education. In addition to teaching middle school orchestra, Jordan pursues his musical goals of being a YouTuber, performer, and recording musician in his spare time. With his music, Jordan strives to show the capabilities of underrated instruments such as ocarina and euphonium.
